Social workers available to provide counselling and assistance.  Offers: emotional support; information on the progress of a the police investigation; assistance understanding the Criminal Justice System; information about the recovery/return of stolen property; assistance applying for compensation; practical tips for personal/home safety; referrals to other community resources.  Although referrals are made directly by the Winnipeg Police Service, Older Victim Services also accepts referrals from the community.
