On April 23, 2015, the Victims Bill of Rights Act, received Royal Assent.

On April 23, 2015, the Victims Bill of Rights Act, received Royal Assent. The Canadian Victims Bill of Rights provides the following rights to victims of crime: 1) Right to Information 2) Right to Protection 3) Right to Participation 4) Right to Seek Restitution The Victim Justice Network provides information on victims rights so that victims of crime are better informed of their rights as they interact with the criminal justice system.
