211 BC

bc211 is a Vancouver-based nonprofit organization that specializes in providing information and referral regarding community, government and social services in BC. Services include 211, the Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Service (ADIRS), the Problem Gambling Help Line, VictimLink BC, and the Youth Against Violence Line.

AMBER Alert

Public alerts for missing children are issued at a provincial or national level. In Canada, AMBER Alert programs are provincially operated. While most provinces have AMBER Alert Committees, only law enforcement can issue an AMBER Alert. Issued in instances when missing children or a child is in grave danger or an alert could assist in the safe recovery of a child.

BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support (BCCEAS)

The BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support. We are a non-profit charitable organization located in British Columbia, Canada.  We are committed to: protecting the legal rights of older adults; increasing access to justice for older adults; informing the public about elder abuse; and providing supportive programs for older adults who have been abused.

BC Ministry of Justice Victim Services and Crime Prevention

Develops legislation, policies, and programs; provides training; and delivers and funds programs that support victims and their families, address violence against women and human trafficking, provide a restorative justice response to crime, enhance public safety and local crime prevention efforts, and build and maintain safe communities.
