Last Wednesday of Every February – Pink Shirt Day
Beginning in 2007
The campaign originated in Canada as a result of a bullying behavior that victimized a young boy. Bullying is a major problem in Canadian schools, workplaces, homes, and social media but is not recognized as a major issue due to the belief that these actions are teenage or child behaviors. Each year on pink shirt day, it is encouraged that every individual wears a pink shirt as a movement to stand with the victims of bullying and show society that bullying isn’t tolerated in any form.
